Larry Few, Fire Chief and Candidate for IAFC Second (2nd) Vice President (2017)

By way of introduction, my name is Larry Few and I am the Fire Chief of the Fulton County Fire Rescue Department in Atlanta, GA. I am seeking your vote and support for the position of Second (2nd) Vice President of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC).

There are many critical issues facing the fire service. Below are samples of topics that I will promote on your behalf:

    • Firefighter Health and Safety to include presumptive cancer and behavioral health legislation.

    • American Fire Grants and SAFER funding.

    • NFPA codes and standards that affect the fire service.

    • Promoting positive relations between the IAFC and the IAFF.

    • Continuance of the active advocacy of fire-based EMS.

    • Active advocacy for the National Fire Academy, the United States Fire Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the United States Department of Homeland Security.

    • Proactive representation with the Federal Government and partner agencies/associations concerning issues of active shooter incidents, civil unrest, and terrorism including federal funding.

I am a strong believer in servant leadership and I desire to serve you as the Second (2nd) Vice President of the IAFC. I would appreciate your support and your vote.

Please remember my campaign slogan: “Many are called, FEW is Chosen.”

Sincerely,
Larry Few
Fire Chief
